Well, I do spend a lot of time in the seemingly heart-breaking decision of trying to decide whether to watch "Air Crash Investigations" or "World's Strictest Parents", but when I am not doing that - I do try to be a contributing member to society.
I volunteer. I volunteer a lot. This is all well and good, until there is no money in my life. I figure though, that one day my volunteer work will turn into paid work, it has started to in some areas already. One of the main places I volunteer at is Special School.
Special School is a very special place, no pun intended. At Special School, I work with my students (a few of the older ones I refer to as friends sometimes when I write), in all different areas. I love all sides of special education: I love doing Occupational Therapy related activity, Speech and Communication related activities and community based activities, just to name a few. There are all the basic care needs that I have learned a lot about as well. I don't know what my goal is in Special School. I have had some achievements that I will share with you, soon. But the important thing is my students. I support my teacher on the student's education, and as a team we facilitate the learning of the students.
I am starting working the disability field as a carer. I am looking forward to this working business; apparently, it is like volunteering but getting paid for it! I am employed by a few different people, and I love getting to know the people I work with.
Recently, I have started working with Charmaine on her communication and I will be sure to share all the adventures with you as they come...
I am also a student. I go to university, and have almost finished studying a Bachelor of Psychology.
I also enjoy making people feel uncomfortable with my sense of humour which I feel is delightfully awkward.
You are also teaching my daughter to speak and use sign language. Please put that in your CV as well. You have a gift for this! !!!
